Why Ta-Nehisi Coates should be fired from Captain America

Marvel's next writer for Captain America is Ta-Nehisi Coates, a writer with no significant experience in comics. Which of course isn't a qualifier for writing Captain America, of course. I have been in comics professionally for 15 years and I am not qualified to write Captain America. I am not greatly familiar with the comic books and only started the film series with its sequel. I couldn't get a copy of the first movie. I do, however, think a qualifier is that someone who loves America and what it stands for should be writing the comic, not a borderline racist who emphatically hates America, like the person who wrote the following about the firefighters and police who died saving victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001:

“They were not human to me. Black, white, or whatever, they were menaces of nature; they were the fire, the comet, the storm, which could — with no justification — shatter my body.”

Remember that if you are considering buying the upcoming Captain America reboot series. That the man who wrote the series felt nothing about victims of 9/11, that he considers the police and firefighters sinners because they are police, and because white police, in his view, are racists, but he also views black police as being racists, too. Coates frames his contempt for black people thusly: black people, to Coates, are racist because they are products of white racism. Everybody is racist against black people, even black people. This is a pile of horseshit. Coates' profoundly abhorrent views are discussed at length here.

Out of the many qualified writers available to write Captain America, why was Coates hired? It makes no sense. Based on my research into Coates to find out what upset my friends over Coates' hiring for Captain America, I will not be reading Coates' run on the series or any Coates comic or book, and would advise against publishers hiring such an anti-American cretin. Look, I get why Coates was hired: You want to use Captain America to battle Trump, and Coates hates Trump. But Coates is the exact wrong person you want fighting your battles, especially with a character who is supposed to represent patriotism and the American way. Captain America punched Hitler. You don't hire Richard Spencer to denounce Louis Farrakhan. You don't hire Hitler to write a character that punched Hitler.

By the way, I am currently reading Christopher Priest's run on Black Panther. I think Priest would've been a better choice for writing Captain America. Any other writers that should've written the series? List them in the comments.
